Back with a new batch of outfits and interiors. I was hoping I would have a different post in between this one and the last one but I don’t, and that feels very on brand for me. Lately, Atlanta has started to flirt with the idea of spring. Atlanta has a time in February where it has something we call “fake spring” things start to bloom and get warm, in what should be a wintery cold month. Sometimes, this lasts until spring time but we usually get a random freezing cold span of time before spring truly hits.
I say this all to say, that spring dressing is very much on my mind. It’s when the days become longer, warmer and the sun feels more cheerful. Signs of new beginnings, where I can start to see the flowers blooming and I can hear the birds singing more.
When the seasons change, especially from winter to spring, I get a burst of excitement, nostalgia and inspiration. So, these outfits I have styled really feel like the perfect transition into spring. Lighter materials, lighter colors, an overall freshness that lacks in the bundled, layered dead of winter.
When I first styled these outfits I thought perhaps they were boring because they felt too simple. However, I think that when I start styling outfits for warmer months I have to shift the way I approach getting dressed. In the winter, I can layer and layer which can really bring in lots of elements for styling. Then spring rolls around and I have to relearn or shift the way I layer. I think this is why I initially thought these outfits lacked a little something. Lately though, I am really into a little sweet simple styled look, so here is my proof of that.
I have said it on each of these outfit and interiors posts, but I really enjoy this crossover and feel like it really teaches me something about styling outfits and something about styling a home or space. As always, I hope you enjoy this new drop of outfits and interiors.
These are so fun! I always think it’s so interesting when people who are so tuned in to fashion and personal style struggle with interiors — I love how you display that it’s really the same type of thinking.
Can't stop, won't stop loving this series.
